The Territory Wildlife Park has an extensive system of walking tracks that are well sign posted. Many of the exhibits are located quite closely together, so it is an easy walk between many of them. There are three main walking tracks, which we highly recommend that you visit to appreciate the biodiversity of the Park. The Woodland Walk covers approximately 600 m, the Wetlands Walk covers 550 m and the Monsoon Forest Walk covers 1100 m.
A free shuttle train runs continuously around the Park's 4 km loop road, picking up and dropping off around the park. There are sheltered pick up points located at the entrance to each exhibit. The shuttle train can accommodate wheelchairs and strollers.
The Territory Wildlife Park features disabled access parking spaces near the Park’s entrance. All exhibits and restroom facilities have disability access. Guide dogs are permitted at the Territory Wildlife Park. Wheelchairs are available from the Main Station on request.
Strollers are available for hire at the Main Station. A $5 hire fee applies.
Visitors to the Park are encouraged to bring along their bicycles and scooters to ride around the Park. Bike helmets must be worn at all times whilst riding on the link road. Please read the terms and conditions, you will be required to sign the Bicycle sign in book located at admission when you arrive at the Park.
The air-conditioned Café is located in the Main Station and is open every day from 9:00am – 5:00pm. With a chef-inspired menu offering a wide variety of delicious hot and cold meals daily, your taste buds are sure to be satisfied. Ice cream, coffee and cold drinks are also available, as well as a Kid’s Menu for the little ones. Our gift shop is located adjacent to the café and is the perfect spot to pick up a souvenir for someone special. Eftpos facilities are available in both our Gift Shop and Café.
The Picnic Area is located next to the Main Station. Visitors are encouraged to bring along a picnic and relax in the shade. The area offers scattered picnic tables and a children's play ground. The Cafe and toilets are located near by. There are also picnic tables located at different points around the park. Upon arrival, ask the friendly guides to point them out for you. BBQ’s are available to hire for $10.00 per day, bookings are required.
There are toilets located at the Main Station, Aquarium and Aviaries. All toilets are wheelchair accessible.
Baby change tables are located in the Main station toilets.
The First Aid room is located at the Main Station. All of our guides have a current First Aid Certificate.
