The Territory's Wildest Wildlife Camp!
Camp Calytrix is in a secret location at the Territory Wildlife Park. It is designed for school age children to be able to learn about and discover the Territory Wildlife Park and its inhabitants at night. Special exclusive activities, not offered to other groups, encourage camp goers to appreciate wildlife, after the sun goes down through fun educational activities such as guided Night Stalks, Toad Busts and early morning Meet a Keeper presentations.
Who is Camp Calytrix for?
- School and community groups
- Children aged eight years and over
- Groups of 20 to 30 children
What is Provided?
- A private guide to host your camp during the hours of 4.00pm - 8.30pm and 7.00am - 10.00am the next morning.
- Unique evening and morning activities only available at Camp Calytix
- Grassed, fenced campsite
- Gas BBQ
- Fire Pit
- Toilets and bush showers
- Kitchen with: fridge/ freezer, sink, bench space, storage space for eskies, microwave over, large urn, two burner hot plate, two toasters & a first aid kit.
- Easy access for school bus close to camp
- Cleaning equipment: mop and bucket, washing up detergent, broom, paper for cleaning the BBQ
- Use of a mobile phone for emergency purposes
What Do Campers Need to Bring?
- Tent / mozzie net / swag or mozzie dome / mattress
- Sleeping bag & pillow
- Enclosed shoes
- Torch
- Soap
- Swimmers (for shower time)
- Mozzie repellent
- A sense of Adventure!
What Do Supervisors Need to Bring?
- One supervising adult per 10 children
- All of the above
- Dinner - we recommend that you bring chicken pieces and potatoes for Fire Themed Camps
- Breakfast and snacks
- Matches and aluminium foil
- BBQ utensils
- Plates, cups and cutlery
- First aid kit
How Much Does it Cost?
- $30.00 per student
- Two teachers per group are free of charge
- Additional teachers pay the discounted rate of $23.00 per 10 students.
